He is also Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the George Washington School of Medicine and was named one of  “America’s Top Plastic Surgeons” by The Consumer’s Research Council of America in 2007.  A native of Austin, Texas, Dr. Salemy is a 1995 graduate of  Yale University, and a 1999 graduate of  The Yale University School of Medicine.  Dr. Salemy spent six years training in Seattle, Washington at the University of Washington School of Medicine residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, one of America's finest plastic surgery training programs.   
 
Washington D.C. plastic surgeon Dr. Salemy has a special interest in breast reconstruction, rhinoplasty and facial and body rejuvenation. He utilizes the latest cosmetic surgery techniques and places a patient’s individualized care at utmost importance.  Dr. Salemy takes pride in giving patients a safe, positive experience by providing them with a confidential environment.  One of the unique aspects of  his practice is having one of the nurse's from his well trained and extensively qualified nursing staff visit a patient in their home post-operation so that the patient may be taken care of as comfortably as possible.
