Share your story about why you considered and ultimately had cosmetic surgery.

To be able to share my story with others is an awesome way to hopefully help others in deciding if this is right for them. My Name is Kellie and I am a gal that wouldn't normally be as open to the idea of getting a tummy tuck, but something inside of me really thought that this could be an amazing transformation that I needed. I am 29 years old and I have four wonderful children. The eldest being 8, then 6 then 4, and lastly my youngest is 2. They are all almost 2 years apart from one another and that killed my tummy muscles. What once was a somewhat normal stomach turned into a big ball, full of well, "yuck". Deciding that I wanted to fully enjoy my family and every day life without thinking about my stomach is what made me want to have my tummy back. Exercising wasn't helping, dieting wasn't helping, it just kept on getting worse looking and feeling. My husband didn't seem to mind my after children body, but I knew it was what I wanted. For me, and my constantly asking myself, "How am I going to get rid of all this extra skin?"

How did your friends and family feel about your decision to have a procedure?

When I first decided to look into the possibilities of getting a tummy tuck, I did not want to tell my friends and family what I was doing. I needed to be sure it was what I wanted. But after I found the perfect surgeon I knew I was making the right choice. When I finally did tell my family and friends, some were excited for me and others acted, almost jealous. It was a weird time for me to see how some people responded. But it was those who were closest to me were the most eager to see me have more self-esteem. It is amazing to see how much of your daily thoughts go into what you alone see in the mirror.

How did 1800MySurgeon help you through the process of finding a qualified plastic surgeon?

So I knew that I wanted to fix my stomach, but how was I going to find the right plastic surgeon? I went online to see what I could find and I just couldn't seem to get to the right place. Then as I was going to end my search for the day, I saw a number. The number was 1800mysurgeon. "Hmm", I said to myself. Then when I called the number I was able to talk to representative who helped me know what in the world to do and where to start. I had so many questions and 1800mySurgeon helped me find the answers.

Can you describe your surgery and recovery?

On the day of my surgery I was a nervous wreck. I kept telling my husband, " No, I can't go through with this, who will take care of the kids this whole time?" "It's okay they are fine", he said. It wasn't until I arrived at the clinic and saw the team all ready to take care of me and be the 1st people who would help me on my positive journey of new thoughts and a new body. The surgery went great and I woke up with my nurse right next to me. I didn't know where I was at first, then when she came over to me and explained to me how my operation went. The recovery was long and tiring, I was told it would be like that, so I had lot of family help the fist week and my hubby for the next week. It was a nice break from being constant mom to being coach on the sidelines.

What advice would you give to another person considering your same procedure?

If there is a person out there who is seeking some kind of peace with their body and isn't sure of what to do, I would tell them to seriously look into this procedure. If you think about it too much you might change your mind. I did over and over again. Even though I knew I wanted to do this, I still had doubts, questions and concerns. To think, every time I changed my mind I had to wait a little longer, silly me. Write down the pros and the cons, I guarantee you the pros will out do the cons.

How do you feel about your result?

The moment I woke up after the surgery, I looked down at my tummy. "Where did it go?", I thought to myself. The final result of my tummy tuck is absolutely better than I ever could have imagined. Even better, it was real! I did it, I finally did it and I can focus now more on my family and just life in general than having to worry, is my stomach hanging over my pants when I reach for something or do I look like my skin is stretchy to them. Nope, no more. Now all I have to think about is, what should I wear today?
