Share your story about why you considered and ultimately had cosmetic surgery.

After two children and up and down weight gain, my waist line and tummy were completely unrecognizable to me. I wanted to regain my waist line and fit into all of my pre-baby clothes. I just wanted to feel better about my body.

How did your friends and family feel about your decision to have a procedure?

My family and friends were very supportive. They were all aware of my struggle with my weight, especially the weight I gained with my last pregnancy and my attempts to take it off through diet and exercise, and the flabby skin that just wouldn't go away. I had everyone in my corner.

How did 1800MySurgeon help you through the process of finding a qualified plastic surgeon?

1800mySurgeon was very helpful in getting me connected with a board certified surgeon. Basically, they were able to do my search for me. I work and have two small children so my time is limited. Also I wanted to make sure that my surgeon was very well qualified. 1800mySurgeon only deals with the best, board-certified surgeons.

Can you describe your surgery and recovery?

I was very nervous the day before and the day of the surgery. Everyone at the surgery center and from Dr. Han's office were very kind and supportive. They were great at reassuring me and calming my nerves. I was out before I was even in the OR, the next thing I remember was waking up in recovery. It was very foggy and I barely remember the ride home. Honestly I barely remember the next few days. The pain was manageable, but I was in pain, I was bruised and I was sore. The first few days are the worst, but it does get better. I' m one week post-op now and am sitting at my table typing this, so I'm feeling better. I am still swollen, but I can see the results already and it is all worth it.

What advice would you give to another person considering your same procedure?

Do your homework and have realistic expectations for your recovery. Don't make any big plans for the next week, give yourself plenty of time to rest and recover. Have someone there to take care of you for at least the first few days. Take your pain medications on a regular schedule.

How do you feel about your result?

Like I said, it's still early, but I can already tell that the results are going to be great! My stomach is so flat, despite the swelling. I can see a huge difference in my waistline and lower back. It's great!
