Share your story about why you considered and ultimately had cosmetic surgery.

As an Asian woman, I've always had small breasts. I wanted my body to have more curves so I did some research on breast augmentations and came across Dr. Kaufman. His credentials blew me away. After meeting with Dr. Kaufman I knew he was the best surgeon for me. My experience in his office made me feel very welcome and not pressured to turn myself into a Dolly Parton. His staff was extremely friendly and outgoing and very professional. I couldn't be more thrilled with my results, my new additions make me feel like the woman I envisioned myself as. Thank you, Dr. Kaufman, for putting the icing on the cake!

How did your friends and family feel about your decision to have a procedure?

I decided not to inform my family about my decision to have a breast augmentation. I figure by next summer they'll eventually notice! I didn't feel it necessary because I knew they would try to deter me from going under the knife. My parents and I have different views on plastic surgery.

How did 1800MySurgeon help you through the process of finding a qualified plastic surgeon?

1800mySurgeon was very helpful because they listened to my wants and needs in a plastic surgeon. It took them 10 seconds to figure out the best surgeon in the area because I was looking for someone who specialized in breasts. They immediately sent emails and information about the clinic.

Can you describe your surgery and recovery?

Surgery was one giant blur. While waiting to be reeled into the OR, I remember feeling extremely nervous while I waited in the usual open-front, operation gown. After being injected with the first "cocktail" the butterflies subsided and everything was downhill from there. Waking up involved lots of giggles and I felt no pain whatsoever. The first few nights I got a few hours of sleep and complained a lot because of the immobility of my upper body. About 4 days later I was off the medications and moving around on my own. A week later I still felt swollen but was smiling every morning when I looked into the mirror, a habit I never used to do. :)

What advice would you give to another person considering your same procedure?

My main advice to any woman who is considering having her breasts augmented: Don't change yourself for anybody except yourself. If it will make you happy, then do it!

How do you feel about your result?

My results ended up being more than just a breast augmentation; my breasts are larger (yay!), my confidence stronger and now I emit a positive energy everywhere I go. I am overwhelmed with the entire experience and I'd do it again.
