Share your story about why you considered and ultimately had cosmetic surgery.

I'm 40 years old and in pretty good shape, but going through my mid-life crisis. I had a little bit of a double chin, and more pectoral/abdominal area than I would like, despite exercise and diet. In essence, it bothered me, so I said it's time.

How did your friends and family feel about your decision to have a procedure?

Every person I mentioned it to was very supportive. Even the ones that looked at me, and thought I was nuts, because I was far from obese. But they told me to do what makes me happy.

How did 1800MySurgeon help you through the process of finding a qualified plastic surgeon?

I was new to my area (moved due to work) and didn't know anyone for an opinion. So I did online research. Now the funny thing was, I originally went through a different company. I met the doctor they recommended, I found him arrogant and condescending. So I tried online again, and that's when I contacted 1800mySurgeon. I told them about my previous experience and the patient coordinator recommended a doctor. I would not have spent the time even writing this, but the experience was so positive, I felt I owed the doctor and 1800mySurgeon for recommending him. Dr. Boynton, the old saying is true "what comes around goes around". Thank you for being an excellent surgeon, and just a nice guy.

Can you describe your surgery and recovery?

It was lipo of my sub-mandibular, abdominal, chest and flank. I was unconscious during the procedure, so an accurate description would be difficult. But the incision points were small and well hidden. I am still in the recovery stage, but it is going just fine.

What advice would you give to another person considering your same procedure?

I would recommend any procedure thats makes a person feel better about themselves. The whole "you are beautiful as you are" is true, but if it makes you feel better as a person, why not.

How do you feel about your result?

Just a little bit happier. After hitting the forty mark which hit me pretty hard, the pain is a little less now. Why not enjoy our short years as content as possible.?
