Share your story about why you considered and ultimately had cosmetic surgery.

Aging eyelids were drooping over my eyes. I have been wanting to do this for a long time and my husband finally encouraged me. We found Dr. Scott Miller online. We liked him immediatly, felt totally comfortable with him, assured that he was capable of giving me the results I was hoping for. His price was comparable to other drs fees. His staff was very kind and professional and put us at ease, especially when we all started talking about our yellow labs!

How did your friends and family feel about your decision to have a procedure?

My family didn't say much but my friends encouraged me to "go for it"-some thought I was really brave for opting to have surgery that wasn't a necesity. Another friend wants the same surgery, but is waiting to see how mine turns out!

How did 1800MySurgeon help you through the process of finding a qualified plastic surgeon?

1800mysurgeon.com kept in touch with me all along the way, suggesting Dr. Miller and that he would wave the $75 consultation fee because I went through you. I received emails and phone calls, even today, 20 days after surgery. I was so happy that my husband contacted you!

Can you describe your surgery and recovery?

Before surgery Dr. Miller made his marks on my eyes and made sure I was ready. The nurses brought me into the surgery room, made sure I was comfortable, played soft, soothing music to help me relax. The dr. injected the local anesthetic, and we waited for it to take effect. He came back into the room and began. I was awake the whole time and could tell he was making his incisions, could actually smell the cauterization and sensed that he was stitching. the surgery lasted 1 hour. He said that he was done, everything went well, he left the room, the nurses unbundled me, got me up, led me to change clothes, put me into a wheelchair, and out to the car. I was on my back for 3 days, icing my eyes, resting and following the instructions that I was given. I was not allowed to bend over, do any housework, any cooking, reading, TV, or computer. I wanted to be the perfect patient!

What advice would you give to another person considering your same procedure?

I would advise seeing Dr. Miller-he is knowledgable, caring, skilled and doesn't push anything on you that you don't ask for. Make sure you have the time to devote to proper healing and follow all post operative instructions.

How do you feel about your result?

I am still healing but everyone so far has complimented me on how good my eyes look. I am still icing my eyes twice a day as sometimes they feel itchy and icing is refreshing to them. I have an appointment with Dr. Miller late October for my final checkup and post operative photos. I know my eyes will help me feel younger again!
