Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite Treatment Overview

Endermologie®, is an FDA approved technology which reduces the visible signs of cellulite. Many people find that no amount of dieting or exercise will reduce the amount of visible cellulite on areas of the body like the thighs and buttocks. Because cellulite are fat cells that push against connective tissues of the skin, even if you lose weight in that area, your skin may still look pocked like cottage cheese. Endermologie® utilizes a motorized apparatus with two adjustable rollers and controlled suction that folds and unfolds the skin initiating your body’s natural collagen and elastin production. By improving blood flow, Endermologie® may also increase your body’s ability to drain toxins. With regular treatments, your skin will begin to look healthier and tighter as the visibly dimpling effects of cellulite are reduced.

You no longer have to blame yourself for not being able to reduce the visible effects of cellulite. It’s not your diet or your exercise program, it’s your cells. Effectively treating your cellulite with an FDA approved technology could be the motivation you’re looking for to continue eating healthy and exercising. Soon you’ll be able to wear shorts and skirts with pride once again.

Questions to Ask Your Prospective Surgeon

Once you’ve made an appointment for a consultation, take the time to prepare a list of questions and concerns you want to address with your prospective surgeon. The consultation is your opportunity to assess the surgeon as much as it is their opportunity to determine your candidacy for the procedure. Take your time, be thorough and know that you are never required to commit to a procedure or a surgeon because you’ve had a consultation, even if the consultation is free.

Since Endermologie® is not a surgery many surgeons have a registered nurse or other licensed professional perform Endermologie® treatments for their practice. These practitioners usually have significant experience with the Endermologie® device used at the site. Make sure to ask the surgeon who will be performing your treatment, ask for their credentials and experience, and ask to see their before-and-after photos. If you do not feel comfortable with the practitioner performing the treatment, you do not have to commit to the procedure.

This list of information may help you compile your questions and may encourage you to do some further research on the different aspects of Endermologie® cellulite treatment:

  • How many initial treatments will be necessary to achieve your desired result?
  • Will you need to continue a maintenance program after your initial treatment is complete?

If you’re consulting with a surgeon from 1800mySurgeon, you can rest assured that you will be meeting with a qualified Cellulite Treatment Surgeon. If you already have surgeon in mind, our patient coordinators can also perform a background check before you schedule your consultation.

Endermologie® Recovery

Endermologie® should not hurt and there is no need for any recovery time. You may feel like you’ve had a deep massage. You should drink lots of fluids before and after the treatment. You may need to use the restroom frequently after the treatment, as a result of the lymphatic drainage that occurs from the skin being kneaded by the rollers.

Endermologie® Risks

Since there is no surgery, anesthetic, laser or chemicals involved with this treatment, there are virtually no risks.

Long Term Results of Endermologie® Cellulite Treatment

If a full regime of treatment is followed, visible signs of cellulite should diminish for a few months at a time, with follow up and maintenance treatments necessary every 3 to 4 months to continue the effects. Eating a healthy diet and regular exercise can enhance your cellulite treatment results.
