Saline Vs Silicone Breast Implants

I am considering breast augmentation, but I am not sure if Saline or Silicon implants are the way to go. I read pros and cons of both, and I am mostly concerned about the look and feel of my breasts after surgery. Any advice?

It is really a personal choice because one is not better than the other. Both are good products. In terms of look and feel, Silicone implants tend to look and feel a lot more natural because they are a lot softer.

Something you need to consider is how much breast tissue you have. If you don’t have a lot of breast tissue, or if you have very thin skin, you’re more likely to feel the implant – it is more palpable, which is one concern for some patients.

Silicone implants tend to cost a little bit more than Saline. Also, the access incision the implants are placed through needs to be bigger because the implants are pretty filled. In the end, it’s really a personal choice. It really depends on the person’s anatomy, their goals and on their budget.
