Breast Revision Surgery
Some people say that you need to have your breasts re-done after you have kids or after 10 years. Is that true? I am also wondering if losing sensation in your nipples is a common thing.
My advice would be - If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
There is a common myth advocating that you have to get your breasts redone after you have kids or after 10 years. What I tell patients is that breast implants are not permanent devices and that they do have a finite lifespan, almost like a car tire.
However, if you’re not having a problem, even in 10 years, and you’re not having any pain or change in the breast shape, I don’t see a reason for you to go and exchange them.
If you decide that you want to go bigger or smaller, that could be a reason to have breast revision, but if you are happy and everything’s fine, I wouldn’t advise a patient to do a thing.
In regards to how breast implants may be affected after kids, that really depends on whether or not you gained breast size during nursing, or if you have lost a lot of volume.
