Do doctors provide antibiotics before surgery and pain killers after surgery?
Depending upon the type of procedure performed, an antibiotic OR pain medication may not be necessary
There are many instances where patients are completely comfortable after surgery taking only Tylenol. With some surgical procedures, antibiotics are given as a precautionary measure.
With most of our cosmetic surgery patients, we find that pain medication is usually only needed for the first few days after surgery. If you are in a lot of pain, please notify our office immediately.
